My Unsplash Journey: Milestones, Motivation, and the Joy of Sharing

Unsplash is a platform I’ve become very passionate about, and through it, I’ve achieved some great milestones. When I first started working on building my library, I was simply uploading photos I’d taken. However, over time, a clear purpose emerged. My focus now is on uploading photos related to travel and animal photography, which aligns more with my interests.

Looking at my own profile and achievements, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. To list a few highlights:

  • I’ve accumulated 3.7 million views across my profile since my first upload back in 2017.
  • I reached my first 1 million views in 2020.
  • My images have been downloaded over 20,000 times.

It truly is a great platform that allows me to express my creative photography work and provide valuable resources for others. It’s rewarding to see people download my photos and incorporate them into their own projects. My profile serves as a showcase of my work, even if the photos featured aren’t always my most personal favourites. The ability to share and contribute to a global creative community is what makes this journey so fulfilling.

Wildlife coffee book printed

Over the past year, I’ve gained a great appreciation for wildlife and animals that share our world. My perspective has widened regarding how endangered many animal populations are and how rapidly they’re decreasing. I’ve put together this book as a showcase of diverse birds and animals from across the world that I’ve captured throughout 2025. The book serves as a coffee table book for guests to browse through when they visit my home.

I’ve just taken a few pictures of how the book looks:

Bradgate Park Deer photography

Bradgate Park in Leicestershire is one of the region’s most beloved landscapes, preserved as a medieval deer park. It provides a wonderful experience for all visitors, especially photographers, who can encounter its significant herds of wild deer. The park is a true photography paradise where you can find both fallow and red deer. Photographing them up close is not only fun but also a fantastic opportunity to practice using different camera and lens settings.

Check out some of the photos I’ve captured visiting Bradgate Park here.

Slimbridge Wetland Centre Gloucestershire

I’ve become really passionate about supporting conservation work. It’s heartbreaking to see the rapid decline in animal populations each year. England in particular has hunted many of its native animals to extinction, which deeply saddens me. I will take any opportunity and platform to promote conservation work and encourage people to support it animals deserve to share this planet with us.

Below are some photos I captured when visiting Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

Traverling Orlando Florida USA

I recently spent an incredibly fun and delightful week exploring the vibrant and lively city of Orlando, primarily focusing on the world-renowned and magical Disney World. It was an absolutely amazing experience that allowed me to live out a childhood dream. The rides and attractions were nothing short of phenomenal, each offering a unique and thrilling adventure. It was a truly memorable week, filled with joy and excitement, and I was really pleased to capture some wonderful moments from the different parks I visited. From the enchanting and nature-filled Disney’s Animal Kingdom to the star-studded and cinematic Hollywood Studios, each park provided its own special charm and unforgettable experiences. I cherished every moment, and the memories created will stay with me for a lifetime.

Wat Chalong Temple Phuket

Thailand, often referred to as the ‘Land of Smiles’, is a country where Buddhism is deeply interwoven into society. This strong religious influence is visible in the country’s wealth of ancient temples, many of which have stood the test of time, dating back several centuries, and continue to be significant cultural and religious sites.

One such place is Phuket, a picturesque island nestled in the southern part of Thailand. Phuket is home to a number of temples, but the one that truly stands out is Wat Chalong, this temple is the oldest in Phuket. Its construction dates back to the early 19th century, making it not just a religious site, but also a historical landmark.

Wat Chalong is not just renowned for its age or its beautiful architecture. It holds a special significance for both locals and Thai tourists who flock to the temple to offer their prayers and pay their respects to several revered monks. These monks are the very founders of Wat Chalong, including the esteemed Luang Pho Cham and Luang Pho Chuang. These venerable figures led the citizens of the Chalong Subdistrict in their fight against the Chinese rebellion in 1876. They also used their extensive knowledge of herbal medicine to treat the injured, showcasing their dedication and selflessness.

I was fortunate to visit Wat Chalong, an experience that was both enlightening and humbling. I had the opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds of this temple in Phuket and have included some photos to share.
